School Homecomings
A school homecoming is an annual tradition. It's a time to celebrate the school you are attending to, show school spirit and so others who used to attend the school come back..
On November 18, 1922, the University of Georgia, along with the athletic association and the Alumni Society hosted the first formal Homecoming event in university history. The first homecoming celebration began on Friday evening with a mass meeting of alumni and students, which consisted of spirited speeches from faculty, coaches, members of the team and the visiting alumni. The rally was followed by an evening of entertainment and dancing with a thaliana performance and the panHellenic ball.
We celebrate homecoming because it encourages students to have school spirit and pride
Theres many events and activities to a school homecoming
