"Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get."
-Mark victor Hansen
If you set goals, you're more likely to accomplish them. Once you set a goal, you feel like you have to get there. Nothing is ever too much. Set big goals or small goals, anything you desire. Be specific about your goal. For example if you want to lose weight, the best thing to do is set a deadline: weigh 130 pounds by January 3rd. If you want to straight As, work on every subject little by little until you get there. Set big goals and take baby steps to get there. Baby steps are okay. We all start by crawling, then we take small steps until we know and understand what is needed to do in order to get there. You can accomplish anything, anything is possible, You just have to put you mind, heart and soul into it. If you really want it you'll do anything possible to get it.
Columbus Day
Christopher Columbus was an explorer and navigator. The holiday honoring Christopher Columbus’s sighting of America on October 12, 1492, is observed in the states of the United States and also in parts of Canada, in Puerto Rico, and in some cities in Italy and Spain. Although Columbus was not the first explorer to set foot in the western hemisphere, his landing at san Salvador island in what  now is Bahamas was very important. It opened the settlement of America by Europeans. It is probable that the first celebration honoring the event was held in 1792. Columbus day became a legal holiday in the united states in 1892. This holiday honors many different people.
Reflection

I’m not sure what to think about this holiday. I was reading many articles and most of them disagreed with this holiday and having it named after Columbus. I’m going to continue reading these articles and choose a side, but for now I have nothing to say about this.

"When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block."
-James E. Faust
When you start following the rules, everything will go your way. Being obedient will not be hard at all if you start now. Obedience is the key to your future. It'll help you succeed. If you strike for obedience, you're choosing the right. If you don't care about being obedient, you're choosing the wrong. It'll affect you later in life. Once you aim for the right, you'll start to get blocks that'll slowly build you're future. Those blocks guarantee you a special spot in life that many wont ever get. Choose the right, it'll actually get you somewhere.

"We learn to do by doing."
-Spencer W. Kimball
You learn to do something by trying it out. If you don't try to do something, you'll never know how to do it. if you want to play an instrument you have to get it, practice and have patience. You're not going to learn just by staring at it. If you want to be good at a certain subject, you have to study and go to tutoring. You are not going to wake up the next morning and all of sudden be super good on that certain subject. In order to have patience to achieve something you want, you have to be determined. You have to be confident in yourself, youll eventually get to where ever you want to get to, you just have to keep trying everyday. Im in marching band. in order for me to be a very good marcher and player, i have to practice, i practice my marching and different songs we play. ill eventually get there, i just have to be patient.
