"Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it."
-William Penn
You may think something is right to do because you see a big crowd of people doing it, but it's not. You're never going to get anywhere in life if you're a follower.. Be a leader. Leaders have a better chance of living a better life. Many follow the crowd so don't be afraid of standing alone. Choosing the right is always better than choosing the wrong. You'll never get in trouble for choosing the right. Choosing the wrong has many repercussions. Don't consume alcohol or any drug just because your so called friends are doing it, if they try to convince you they aren't really your friends. The right thing to do is to say no. If you're the only one who says no, who cares. This shows you know what you are doing. If you do decide to do it, you already chose the wrong. You probably did it to impress your friends or that one person you like, but that isn't going to take you anywhere. Don't do things to impress people, it's not worth it.

School Homecomings
A school homecoming is an annual tradition. It's a time to celebrate the school you are attending to, show school spirit and so others who used to attend the school come back..
On November 18, 1922, the University of Georgia, along with the athletic association and the Alumni Society hosted the first formal Homecoming event in university history. The first homecoming celebration began on Friday evening with a mass meeting of alumni and students, which consisted of spirited speeches from faculty, coaches, members of the team and the visiting alumni. The rally was followed by an evening of entertainment and dancing with a thaliana performance and the panHellenic ball.
We celebrate homecoming because it encourages students to have school spirit and pride
Theres many events and activities to a school homecoming
  • A pep rally - A pep rally is when all the cheerleaders, color guard and band members do a performance the day of the game.
  • A sports game (football, soccer, basketball, ect)
  • A dance
  • Dress days
  • Lunch activities
  • Door decorating contest
  • Homecoming king and queen voting
  • Parade
Its called a homecoming game because The game is usually the week of homecoming.
Homecoming Etiquette is behaving like you should every day: respectful, have school spirit and pride, have fun, and ect.

I think homecoming is going to be fun. Ive never been to homecoming because im a freshman but im really looking forward to it. Im in marching band so im really looking forward to the game, especially the halftime show.

"Dont sacrifice what you want most for what you want now. Write down what you want most and see if often."
-Peter Vidmar
If you want something, you should work hard for it. Start now. Do what you think will get you to your goal. Worry about your future, its important. If you want to graduate high school but  you currently have straights Fs, stop fooling around and study. Dont go out with your friends. Work on improving yourself. In a couple of years the only person who might still be with you is not your friends, its yourself.  Write down your goals in a journal, look at them everyday and think of them too. Dont just think of them, work to get towards them. If you want to be good at playing every instrument, dont just sit there starring at the instruments saying "i wish i knew how to play it" get up and practice. Practice for hours, days, weeks, months or even years so you'll get it right. the point is to not leave your dreams for later. Work on them a little every day before its too late.

"A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life."
- Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K)
You'll never get anything better than a good name. People will be talking about you but in a good way. They wont be trash talking you, they'll be admiring you. They'll admire you for all that you do and all that you have accomplished. When that day comes, the feeling will be explainable. A good name can get you very far. For example, if you have a good reputation all through high school( you get your work done, you have good grades, you have lots of community hours, and etc) there is a chance you can get a scholarship or you might get accepted to one of the best colleges. You have to ctr in order to get a good name.

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches."
- Proverbs 22:1
Your reputation is worth more than gold and all those expensive things. You might have all the money in the world but if you dont have a good reputation, everything will go down the drain. People tend to define you based on your reputation. If you have a bad reputation, you're a bad person. If you have a good reputation, you're a good person. Your reputation is very important. It takes years to build, maybe even a life time. But it only takes a few seconds/ minutes in destroy it. It is very hard to rebuild your reputation after you've destroyed it. It stays with you forever, people look at it all the time. If you destroy it, people dont look at you the same and you make yourself look pathetic. Your reputation is yours and only yours, only you have control over it. Choose the path you want to walk upon. Choose it wisely.

"if your so-called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow."
-Thomas S. Monson
If you know something is wrong, you shouldn't do it. You should never let someone make choices for you. You should never do something just because a large amount of people are doing it. You should never do something just to impress people. If they value you, they'll love you for who you are and you wont need to impress them. If you want to do something, do it for yourself not for others. If its what you truly want, go for it. If your friends try to persuade you to do something bad, they arent your friends at all. Real friends dont make you do things you dont like or that you are not comfortable with. Have the courage to say no even if it means the end of a friendship. Friends are usually temporary but your reputation is stuck with you forever. Be the only light bulb that lights up in the darkest of nights, the only one who recognizes whats right and whats wrong. Be the only light thatll help people see a path of goodness. Guide people through the dark as they try to find their way to this path.
