They work in hospitals, medical centers, colleges, Universities, research centers and foundations. They are responsible for a variety of duties: managing library and library staff; retrieve requested print and electronic resources,; provide access and evaluate materials; design; develop and maintain web sites; and teach others how to find and use the resources available in the library.

Salary; a low average of $52,293 to a high average of $116,200 per year.

Education;
Students interested in pursuing a career as a health science librarian should take high school courses in biology, algebra, computer skills, chemistry, government, psychology, sociology, typing, data processing, English, office procedures, health occupations/medical professions education, foreign languages, anatomy, history, and literature. People interested in becoming a medical librarian must complete a 4-year baccalaureate program in any discipline they choose. Students are encouraged to include as many computer and technology courses in their undergraduate work as possible. They are also required to have a master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLS) from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school.
Demand or need for this profession;
Employment opportunities will be the greatest in research libraries, especially for librarians with scientific and technical knowledge in a field such as medicine. This job market as a whole is supposed to grow more slowly than the average for all other profession, with a modest growth of only only 3%-9% over the next decade.

Reflection;
I am not interested in this career. I like learning, books and teaching other people what i know but i feel like this career isn't for me. I am interested in the medical field but not this career. This is an interesting job but i'm more interested in actually saving lives, in being a doctor.
