Class Evaluation
1. One thing i liked about this class is learning all types of things regarding the internet. i also liked that i got introduced to many new quotes i've never heard of before.

2. One thing i didn't like about this class were the lectures. I felt like they were too long. at times they were interesting but sometimes they were not.

3. I recommend improving this class by selecting different quotes by different people. Quotes that mean something else rather than trustworthiness and honesty. I know that's the main thing about being a CTR person but there's many other quotes out there that are just as interesting as the ones selected.

4. The highlight for me in this class was learning about different things i didn't know before. I didn't know how to do many things on the internet that i now know how to do. For example the many things on google, like this website. I never knew how to make my own website before this class. I didn't really know how to type properly, i'm not very good but im getting there.

5. I did my best majority of the time. There was days i didn't really feel
good so i didn't really do my best. But overall i feel like i did do good in this class.

6. I am reading and reporting on my Life Planing Goals Journal for at least five minutes a day. I try to write new goals every day. sometimes i forgot to do that but the when i do remember, which is usually the next day, i read and report for 10 minutes. I do five minutes of that day and the day before. I feel like this really does help. I haven't accomplished any of my big goals but i have accomplished many of the small ones. I feel like this can make one successful.

7. I am committed to being a CTR person because i always choose the right. I think about stuff before i actually do it. I try my best at everything i do and i don't break any rules regardless what others think. I am a trustworthy and honest person. I am responsible, kind and productive.

“When you tell one lie, it leads to another.”
-Paul Hatch
Once you lie you tend to do it again. If you don't stop it'll keep going and it'll never stop. The truth eventually comes out sooner than later. Its best to be honest, even if you hurt others feelings because you can hurt them way more by lying.  Choose the right and be honest. People dont like people who lie to them. For example if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend and you no longer have feelings for them. What do you do ? do you cheat on them with someone else? No you dont. You tell them how you feel and that you want to end the relationship. They might not take it very well and they are going to be hurt but it's better that hurting them by cheating on them. You make yourself look bad and you make your partner look stupid in a way. Anyway the point is you shouldn't lie. Telling the truth is always better than lying.

The Sting Of the Scorpion
A boy named patrick went camping with his family. He got up early one morning and wanted to explore. He remembered that his parents told him to wear shoes because the desert was a dangerous place. He told himself that his flip flops were shoes so he put them on and went for a walk. While he walked he felt a sting. He thought it was a thorn but sadly it wasn't, a scorpion had stung him. He felt a horrible pain rising from his foot to his leg. He yelled for help and his parents eventually came. They drove him to the hospital and he got better. Nothing happened to him, the pain went away but he learned a lesson. He learned that this happened because he was being lazy. He was being defiant. He later realized that his parents were only trying to protect him. This relates to us because if we choose the wrong, if we're defiant, we're also going to get stung by a scorpion. Maybe we won't be as lucky as Patrick. So the best thing to do id to choose the right and follow the rules always.
“Always do right.” -Mark Twain You can never go wrong if you choose the right. The right thing is usually something everyone is against. Choosing the right is always better than choosing the wrong. You'll never get in trouble for choosing the right. Choosing the wrong has many repercussions. Don't consume alcohol or any drug just because your so called friends are doing it, if they try to convince you they aren't really your friends. The right thing to do is to say no. If you're the only one who says no, who cares. This shows you know what you are doing. If you do decide to do it, you already chose the wrong. You probably did it to impress your friends or that one person you like, but that isn't going to take you anywhere. Don't do things to impress people, it's not worth it. It's better to choose the right, choosing the right can be very beneficial. Choosing the wrong can get you into trouble.

World War ll

Related image

World war ll was from september 1, 1939-september 2, 1945
World War 2 was fought between two groups of countries. On one side were the Axis Powers, including Germany, Italy and Japan. On the other side were the Allies. They included Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China and the United States of America.
Germany was ruled by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Hitler wanted Germany to control Europe. Japan wanted to control Asia and the Pacific. In 1937 Japan attacked China. In 1939 Germany invaded Poland. This is how World War 2 began. Some countries did not join the war, but stayed neutral (on either side). Spain, Sweden and Switzerland were neutral countries. So was Ireland, though many Irish people helped the Allies. World War II took place across the globe. Most of the combat action took place in Europe, East Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean, but others were seen in places as far away as Madagascar and the Aleutian Islands. Countries such as Poland, China, Russia, and Germany saw their territories directly involved in war and suffered terribly; countries such as the United States and Canada were relatively far from the action, but their citizens still fought a robust home front providing war goods for their men abroad.

The three questions:
Can people trust me to do whats right?
Am i committed to do my very best?
Do i treat people the way i want to be treated ?
“If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”
-Lou Holtz

You'll never be wrong when you choose the right. You'll never fail at that. If your answer was yes to the following questions than you are a ctr person. Being honest is very important. Lying is not acceptable and it is not good. You have to try your best at everything you do, even if you have to do it. Trying your best will help you improve, it will get you motivated. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Would you like it if others were rude to you ? if your answer was no then why do you treat other that way ? why are you so disrespectful to them ? How do you not expect them to treat you the same ? i doubt anyone likes being treated this way. When being a ctr person you have to consider many things. If others treat a certain person with disrespect, why should you ? just to follow the crowd? Well thats not a very good reason. Be different and always choose the right.

Challenges teens face Today
Some of the challenges teens face today are Self esteem and body image, Bullying , Stress , Depression, Cyber Addiction, Drinking and smoking, Teen pregnancy, Underage sex , Child Abuse, Peer pressure and competition, Eating Disorders and etc. I don't feel like i have any of these challenges or problems right now. At times i feel stressed. I have a time management so i won't feel overwhelmed about everything i have to do. At times it doesn't work out because things come out of nowhere but it's not that bad. I wouldn't consider it a big problem. Being a CTR person helps you overcome any challenges i might go through. It helps because i'm always choosing the right, i don't have any of these problems because of it. I'm not addicted to drugs or alcohol, i'm not pregnant, all because i'm always avoiding those things. It's really easy to do so when all you care about is making the right decision. I can help others overcome their challenges by taking them to professionals. Ill rather do that because i wouldn't like to make their problems worse, professionals know what they are doing.

Some of the things Teens need more are attention, affection, self love, confidence, and etc. Some teens need it more than others. I can tell they need it by their actions. If you pay close attention maybe you can too.

“Physical Fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Geeks knew: That intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”-President John F. Kennedy

It is important to take care of yourself. You'll feel better if you do. When you're sick or when you have a headache, you can't concentrate. You don't feel like doing anything. Now imagine feeling that for a real long time just because you didn't take care of yourself. It would be terrible wouldn't it? That's why you have to take precautions and take care of yourself. If you don't im sure many thing will change. You grade will go done, you'll be frustrated, you'll feel pressured and many more things that aren't good. You can start making a change to your life if you don't want this. Eat healthy; vegetables, fruit, grain and etc. Stop eating so much fast food or junk food, it can make you sick. Junk food and/or fast food can make you gain weight, that's not good. So if you do feel like you are overweight you should exercise. Even if you're not overweight you should still exercise, its good for you. Start making changes to your lifestyle, changes that will benefit you.

"Kindness is the essence of greatness."
-Joseph B. Wirthlin

If you're kind to others, you're already a great person. Being polite and having manners shows that you are an amazing person. Being respectful to others and to yourself is very important. This shows who you truly are as a person. Doing random acts of kindness also makes you a good person. I'm going to give you an example of kindness. My friend brandon went to the store a few weeks ago and he saw a lady with her daughter, they were selling flowers outside the store. The flowers were a dollar. The lady tells him that she is trying to raise money to buy her daughter a wig, she had been diagnosed with cancer. The wig costs about $250 and she couldn't afford it. Brandon gave the lady $320, they were so happy. The little girl started crying of joy but the mother didn't want to accept that much money from him. He finally convinced her to accept it. It's so easy to be kind and to give if you're not selfish. People get so happy when they receive the help they need or when someone randomly compliments them. Little things make people very happy and if you don't do this how do you expect people to do it to you? You actually should never expect anything in return but a smile. Maybe ask them to pay it forward but never pay it back to you. If you want something in return, you won't succeed in this aspect. You'll only succeed if you do it to be kind and a great person to others.

Thanksgiving week
I spent most of my thanksgiving break at home sleeping or doing nothing. I really needed a break. During this week I went to the mall this week with some of my friends from band. We ate and we walked around then we we went to buy donuts. I didn't meet anyone new, like i said i spent my time inside doing nothing and when i do go out i don't pay attention to people. I spent some of my time practicing my music, i'm going to be in a parade on friday. I didn't have much homework, i just had homework for english and health. So i did that. I also spent time with my family. On thanksgiving i went to my grandmas house and we went back for her birthday two days later. I don't really go out during breaks, sometimes i do but usually i don't because i like spending time with my family or by myself. It's been a busy semester and i actually needed to rest and do nothing for a whole week. Sadly i came back to school very tired.

Thanks Giving
Thanksgiving has been celebrated as a federal holiday since 1883. President Lincoln Proclaimed a day of “thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent father who dwelled in the heavens,” to celebrate on the last Thursday in November. George Washington called for an official celebratory “day of public thanksgiving and prayer” in 1789. But congress did not agree to his suggestion. Lincoln made it official. Why do we eat turkey on thanksgiving you might ask? Well this is a mystery; nobody truly knows how this bird got honored by getting put on our tables each November. But this is certainly This is a day to get together with your family and friends and have a good time.

Things i am thankful for

 1. My family

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing."
-Chick Moorman
Image result for right and wrong
You can win or lose but that doesn't make something right. Winning and/or losing doesn't matter. If something is wrong it's wrong, if something is right its right. Getting treated fair with respect and honor is way more important than being a champion. For example Donald Trump won the election but that doesn't make it right for him to be a racist person. He's supposed to be a leader, a role model and look at what our generation is dealing with. He’s discriminating people of different races. He's putting labels on them like they were objects. Hes calling them bad people just because a small portion of that race did something bad. It's not fair that all of them have to deal with this, they did not do anything to deserve this. He wants respect and honor but how can you receive such thing if you yourself don't do the same to your people? And don't say these are not your people because once you became president all these people from different races become your people, even if you don't want them to be, even if we don't want to. At the moment this is the situation and sadly we have to deal with this. I went off topic but my point is choosing and doing the right, being fair and honorable is way more important than winning.

“Honesty is the best Policy”
-Mark Twain
Being honest is always the best thing to do. Nobody likes liars. Lying will get you nowhere. If you do lie people will find out sooner or later. Lying is like cheating. You can lie and cheat your way all through high school and college but at the end of the day you're just playing yourself. Its like you were going around in circles and then you came to a stop and guess what? You hit your Initial spot, you're in the same spot you started. If you cheated your way through both high school and college, you can harm yourself and others. That is not good. Choose the right. Make the right choice. When i lie i feel horrible about it. I don't like to lie to myself and other people. Even if it's to protect them and their feelings. I try to be as honest as i can. I always choose the right.
Veterans Day is a celebration to honor veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
Veterans Day is always on November 11 regardless what day it falls on.
This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veterans Day.
It is important to show honor on veterans day because it shows respect to those that went to war to protect us. We didn't go to war and see such horrible things, they did. Those men and women fought for our freedom, they risked their life for us.
Here are some ways you can show respect and honor:
  1. Visit a veteran at a hospital and tell them thank you
  2. Volunteer with an organization, such as Canine Companions for Independence, that provide therapy dogs to veterans.
  3. Donate to your veterans
  4. Write them letters
  5. Attend to parades
I think this is a very special day. But we shouldn't just honor our veterans on November 11th, we should honor and support them everyday. These men and women have families of their own and they are risking their lives out there just for us, just for our freedom. These people deserve the best for doing so but sadly they don't receive the best. After they get back most get treated like they are nothing. I was reading the article US military veterans face inadequate care after returning from war – report  and it states that “Almost half of the 2.2 million troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan report difficulties on their return home, but many receive inadequate care from the US…” Do you think this is fair? Because i certainly dont. The sad part is that i can't really do anything about it because i'm underage but if you're reading this right now, help them. They have done so much for you and me and the whole US but the they doesn't treat them like they should be treated.

These are the 3 magic keys to living your life with integrity:
  • 1. Have the courage to say no
  • 2. Have the courage to face the truth
  • 3. Do the right thing because it is right
-W. Clement Stone
If you have integrity, you'll live a happier and positive life. Everyone will remember your name and the good things you did because of your integrity. You should never let others take over you and your choices. If you don't want to do something say no, don't say yes because you feel pressure or because itll make you look cool. It totally won't look cool on your record. If you did something wrong and you're aware of the harm it caused you or others, say it was you. Don't lie about it, the truth will eventually come out and it'll be worse for you. Always ctr 24/7. You can never go wrong with ctr because it's always the right thing to do. Do something good and don't expect anything in return. Pass it forward and hope others do the same.

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
-Proverbs 13:20
If you talk to/ hang out with bad influences, you will become a bad influence. People who are bad influences usually have bad grades, do drugs, drink alcohol, and are basically failures. If you choose to be around these people, sooner or later you'll become one. If you hang out with wise people, you won't be a failure. Wise people help you, support you, care about you and they would never let you do something bad or something that is completely wrong. Choose to be around these people. They value you for who you are, not for who they make of you. If you are a bad influences, choose to change for the better. Do it for your future. Don't become someone you don't want to become just because others want you to become that.

The Gainesville Tornadoes thank their unexpected fans
These guys can only play basketball a few times a year because they ctw. There is never a crowd of fans when this team plays against other high schools. Two players decided that they wouldn't play unless there was a crowd on the bleachers. They invited a crowd of people and these two boys asked them to cheer for the opposite team. The fans did cheer for the opposite team and the opposite team was so confused. They all said they would remember this day forever. I think this is a good idea in a way. It's a good idea because you avoid conflicts between the two teams and it shows respect and support. It's not as good because not everyone will agree with this, cheering for the opposite team and not caring about the score. These two boys ctw at first but then realized their mistakes and ctr. Which is good. This should be a motivation to others.

Hang out with people who ctr 24/7 and who motivate you to do the same. You may not be a ctr person yet but you can change that right now. It's never too late to become a ctr person. If you want to get straight A's on your next report card, study, work your butt off. Do anything possible to raise those grades. You may think something is right to do because you see a big crowd of people doing it, but it's not. You're never going to get anywhere in life if you're a follower.. Be a leader. Leaders have a better chance of living a better life. Many follow the crowd so don't be afraid of standing alone. Choosing the right is always better than choosing the wrong. You'll never get in trouble for choosing the right. Choosing the wrong has many repercussions. School Homecomings
A school homecoming is an annual tradition. It's a time to celebrate the school you are attending to, show school spirit and so others who used to attend the school come back..
On November 18, 1922, the University of Georgia, along with the athletic association and the Alumni Society hosted the first formal Homecoming event in university history. The first homecoming celebration began on Friday evening with a mass meeting of alumni and students, which consisted of spirited speeches from faculty, coaches, members of the team and the visiting alumni. The rally was followed by an evening of entertainment and dancing with a thaliana performance and the panHellenic ball.
We celebrate homecoming because it encourages students to have school spirit and pride
Theres many events and activities to a school homecoming
  • A pep rally - A pep rally is when all the cheerleaders, color guard and band members do a performance the day of the game.
  • A sports game (football, soccer, basketball, ect)
  • A dance
  • Dress days
  • Lunch activities
  • Door decorating contest
  • Homecoming king and queen voting
  • Parade
Its called a homecoming game because The game is usually the week of homecoming.
Homecoming Etiquette is behaving like you should every day: respectful, have school spirit and pride, have fun, and ect.

I think homecoming is going to be fun. Ive never been to homecoming because im a freshman but im really looking forward to it. Im in marching band so im really looking forward to the game, especially the halftime show.

"Dont sacrifice what you want most for what you want now. Write down what you want most and see if often."
-Peter Vidmar
If you want something, you should work hard for it. Start now. Do what you think will get you to your goal. Worry about your future, its important. If you want to graduate high school but  you currently have straights Fs, stop fooling around and study. Dont go out with your friends. Work on improving yourself. In a couple of years the only person who might still be with you is not your friends, its yourself.  Write down your goals in a journal, look at them everyday and think of them too. Dont just think of them, work to get towards them. If you want to be good at playing every instrument, dont just sit there starring at the instruments saying "i wish i knew how to play it" get up and practice. Practice for hours, days, weeks, months or even years so you'll get it right. the point is to not leave your dreams for later. Work on them a little every day before its too late.

"A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life."
- Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K)
You'll never get anything better than a good name. People will be talking about you but in a good way. They wont be trash talking you, they'll be admiring you. They'll admire you for all that you do and all that you have accomplished. When that day comes, the feeling will be explainable. A good name can get you very far. For example, if you have a good reputation all through high school( you get your work done, you have good grades, you have lots of community hours, and etc) there is a chance you can get a scholarship or you might get accepted to one of the best colleges. You have to ctr in order to get a good name.

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches."
- Proverbs 22:1
Your reputation is worth more than gold and all those expensive things. You might have all the money in the world but if you dont have a good reputation, everything will go down the drain. People tend to define you based on your reputation. If you have a bad reputation, you're a bad person. If you have a good reputation, you're a good person. Your reputation is very important. It takes years to build, maybe even a life time. But it only takes a few seconds/ minutes in destroy it. It is very hard to rebuild your reputation after you've destroyed it. It stays with you forever, people look at it all the time. If you destroy it, people dont look at you the same and you make yourself look pathetic. Your reputation is yours and only yours, only you have control over it. Choose the path you want to walk upon. Choose it wisely.

"if your so-called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow."
-Thomas S. Monson
If you know something is wrong, you shouldn't do it. You should never let someone make choices for you. You should never do something just because a large amount of people are doing it. You should never do something just to impress people. If they value you, they'll love you for who you are and you wont need to impress them. If you want to do something, do it for yourself not for others. If its what you truly want, go for it. If your friends try to persuade you to do something bad, they arent your friends at all. Real friends dont make you do things you dont like or that you are not comfortable with. Have the courage to say no even if it means the end of a friendship. Friends are usually temporary but your reputation is stuck with you forever. Be the only light bulb that lights up in the darkest of nights, the only one who recognizes whats right and whats wrong. Be the only light thatll help people see a path of goodness. Guide people through the dark as they try to find their way to this path.
Detectives and Criminal Investigators

This career isn’t as exciting as it is on TV, it can have its moments. Detectives investigate crimes and search and apprehend criminals. Detectives spend their days following up on crimes that have already been committed. Detectives do a crime scene investigation; they collect evidence, witness interviews, report writing, record keeping, courtroom testimonies, arrest criminals and etc.  Detectives can work every day depending on the agency; they don’t have shifts like police officers do. Detectives specialize in specific crimes including crimes against a person, property crimes, homicide, sex crimes and white collar crimes.
Many agencies only require a high school diploma, others may insist you to have an associate’s degree or some college, maybe even a bachelor’s degree. There are many degrees that can help prepare you for this career but the most common ones are criminology and criminal justice.  You have to get hired as a police officer and then later get a promotion or transfer to become a detective.

By 2018, the bureau anticipates there will be around 130,000 detectives employed

Detectives make about $36,500-$97,000
The salaries depend on the location and the agency. Detectives with more experience usually make more than the younger ones.

Reflection:
I'm really interested in this career. Ive wanted to be a criminal investigator since i was a kid. I watch shows that have to do with this career and i feel like this career is for me. I really want to help make a difference in the world. With this job, i bet i can help people a little everyday. I have the urge to help people, i feel like i have to do it.
