Dermatologist

Duties and responsibilities:
Dermatologists are physicians who treat conditions related to the skin, though they may also treat disorders related to the hair and nails. Dermatological screenings involve checking the body for visible symptoms, suspicious lesions and potentially problematic areas. Dermatologists may go over the skin using a series of lights to check for cancerous or pre-cancerous moles, melanomas or tumors, as well as eczema patches and other abnormalities. They may also feel patients lymph nodes to check for any suspicious lumps or swelling. Routine dermatological screenings are recommended for everyone, so dermatologists can expect to regularly perform such inspections in their work.

Salary: male $300,00// female $262,500

Education: Dermatologists undergo additional specialized training beyond receiving a medical degree to become experts in skincare, and they must also obtain a license to practice. This career requires lots of training: Undergraduate degree from a four year college, including ore medical courses in biology, organic chemistry, physics, and general chemistry, attending a four year accredited medical school; students must perform well on the medical college admissions test in order to be accepted into medical school. It takes about 12 years to become a dermatologist.

·         Medical degree (4 years)
·         Residency training (3 years)
·         Mohs surgery training (optional) 1-2 years
Reflection: i would not like to chase this career path way because i feel like it isn't for me. I'm interested in something else.
