What is memorial day ?
Its an American holiday that honors the men and women who died while serving in the U.S military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it is originated in the years following the civil war and became an official federal holiday in 1971

When is it ?
- The last Monday of May

What are a few ways to show honor and respect on Memorial Day?

• Visit cemeteries or memorials 
• family gatherings 
• participate/ or attend in/to parades  

To show honor and respect on this day, i will 

•   Try to visit a cemetery 
• Tell others about the importance of this holiday 

Reflection

I feel like this holiday is very important because it shows respect and honor to those who are not here with us anymore. It shows that theyre appreciated. Those men and women fought for us, it was their choice. They were brave enough to do it and that is one of the reasons why i respect them. When i was younger i always wanted to join the army, marines, air force and etc. I look up to those people, the people who served/serve for our country.

If you are going to accept a challenge, make sure you dont put your life and others lives at risk. Think about it. Is it the right thing to do? If its not, dont do it. Dont make yourself look foolish or like a coward. Accepting ctw dares makes you look foolish. For example, Rex D. Pinegar accepted a ctw challenge. He accepted a dare that made him look foolish. He put his life at risk as a child just to impress and show another individual he was brave and fast. You do not have to prove to anyone that you are a certain something. If they are your friends, theyll love you for who you are. Dont change or do anything ctw related for someone or just to fit in. Dont worry about fitting in, its better to stand out. 

Aerospace Engineers

Aerospace engineers design primarily aircraft, spacecraft and missiles. They test prototypes to make sure they function according to design.

Reflection: 
I would like to Be an aerospace engineer because they get to do so many amazing things. They get to come up with ideas, test them out and if they work, they make those ideas a bit bigger. It must be amazing to think that your invention will be a success. Im also into science so i would love to do this.

Dont be afraid to be the only one standing. If you're the only one ctr, be proud. You do not need people who will bring you down with them. If you want to succeed you have to let these people go, even if they're your friends. If they dont help you succeed, they dont need to be in you life. If you go to a party and everybody is doing drugs and drinking all types of alcohol, what are you going to do? You can leave or stay but dont do it. Dont join them. Dont feel the need to say yes. If you dont want to or are afraid, say no. If they start calling you names, who cares. Dont listen to them, you made a good choice. only a ctr person would say no to drugs and alcohol. Do not fall into temptation. ctr always

Brookes Story 
We just finished watching a video about a girl named Brooke. She 6 feet tall. That is something people always see when they look at her. She different. According to her friends shes a very sweet girl and shes always guiding them to the right path. Brooke said shes not afraid of being different and standing alone. She says that if your friends are really your friends, theyll accept you just by the way you are. They wont try to change you or get you involved in any ctw act. Her friends love her for so many different reasons, one of them being that shes different in a good way

i wanted to write about this quote because i feel like its important. It is important to live your life because you never know when your last day will be. We live in a sad, miserable world. We dont focus on the positives or on the good things. Instead we focus on the negatives and put ourselves down. Live life to the fullest. Even if you dont feel like it, try it. Things will be better then being all bored or sad. Focus on the little things, those are the things that count. If you live, you dream, you reach your goals, youre motivated, you have fun and etc. If you only exist, youll be the complete opposite. you'll have a hard time with life. So be the rare one and live. 
Background
 Oscar Wilde was a playwright, author and poet. He was a well-known literacy figure in late Victorian England. He was known for his brilliant style and his infamous imprisonment for homosexuality.  He was born on October 18, 1854 in Dublin, Ireland and died of meningitis on November 30, 1900 (age 46). He wrote 9 plays altogether

Novelist

Duties and Responsibilities
A novelist is a type of writer or author who creates long works of fiction.  Majority of novelists prefer to write in one genre, but some have written books in different genres. Novelists come up with an idea, they usually come up with this idea by what they have experienced or something they witnessed.
Here's what Stephen king said when asked where his ideas came from
“I get my ideas from everywhere. But what all of my ideas boil down to is seeing maybe one thing, but in a lot of cases it’s seeing two things and having them come together in some new and interesting way, and then adding the question ‘What if?’ ‘What if’ is always the key question.“
Many novelists have a plan in their head, they know what the book is going to be about and whats going to happen. However, some novelists “wing it” which means that they write with whatever thought comes to mind when writing it. A novelist has to write at least everyday, they have to edit any mistakes or other things. Novelists need to find a publisher that'll publish their book

Salary
If youre interested in this career, you shouldn’t be interested in how much money they make. Sometimes its very difficult to make money. But the average income is around $65,960. It all depends on how many books they sell and the contracts with their publishers

Reflection 
I would love to become a novelist or any type of writer. I love writing. Ive written poetry (i still do) and im planning to start writing a novel soon. I want to be a novelist because i want to express mt thoughts and feelings in books. I want to write about different types of people. I want them to relate to the characters in the book and the book itself. I want people to have a voice through my books.
